TLG is not organized into formal practice groups or departments. Instead, it consists of collaborative, interactive client service teams that live and work across the Gulf South Region. That said, each of our lawyers has knowledge and experience in particular areas of practice, and those principal areas of practice below.

Labor & Employment Law

Our labor and employment team members are admitted to practice at all levels of state, federal and appellate courts in Louisiana. They have argued and/or advocated before the EEOC, the OFCCP, the NLRB, OSHA, the DOL Wage-Hour Administration, as well as various other state and local workplace authority agencies. We take pride in our expertise in the field of human resources and take every opportunity available for continued education in every area of human resources process, including without limitation hiring, termination, retention, reporting harassment and discrimination, policy implementation, immigration, and employment issues related to mergers and acquisitions.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Implementation & Training

TLG’s Labor and Employment Training generally includes an EEO/Diversity Component. However, TLG also provides separate Diversity and Inclusion Training and assists companies in creating Diversity and Inclusion programs that speak directly to the company culture. TLG understands the importance of an effective D&I Program. With that in mind, TLG trains employees and supervisors on all aspects of diversity and inclusion principles. We assist companies with implementing new programs and strategies and assist organizations in updating more mature D&I programs.

Education & Charter School Law

Our team has worked with various educational institutions for many years, including charter schools with students ranging from Pre-K to High School, school boards, school oversight committees, as well as both public and private universities. Our attorneys are heavily involved in the charter school movement in Louisiana, and frequently speak on issues related to school administration, school policy, and education law. We have represented and served as general counsel with a variety of charter schools and school boards, and have worked tirelessly to ensure they maintain compliance with applicable laws, policies, and procedures.

Startup & Entrepreneurship Law

We provide the counsel and advocacy that business owners need in order to make informed decisions, grow their enterprises, and effectively resolve disputes. We know the value that business owners place on achieving results. Over the course of their careers, our attorneys have built a reputation for achieving positive results for their commercial clients. Not every business needs to maintain in-house counsel. But every business deserves access to experienced legal counsel when they need it. Litigation

In our litigation work, we focus on obtaining results quickly while maintaining a clear focus on the client’s objectives. We try cases in federal and state courts and argue at hearings before administrative bodies. Our focus is to achieve the best resolution for our client as expediently as possible by means of early resolution, mediation and/or summary judgments in an effort to curtail unnecessary litigation costs, while all the while remaining trial-ready. If a matter does go to trial, our lawyers are experienced and trained to defend the most complex legal claims.
