  • As of August 31st, Mayor Cantrell has imposed a citywide curfew from 8 pm to 6 am.

If you have the means to do so, you can help support Ida response efforts and your fellow New Orleanians in need by donating to the following groups (every bit counts): 

Do you have or know of an open, covered space to use for community disaster relief? NOLA Ready is working with local and national non-profit organizations to find areas for food distribution, donation distribution, donation collection, out-of-town/first responder shelter, etc. Click here to help them identify locations across the city to make sure to take care of all of our citizens.

New Orleans business owners can also make their spaces available for citizens to charge electronic devices by visiting nola311.org/service-request.

Cooling Centers in Orleans Parish will be open starting Wednesday, Sept. 1, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. People will be able to charge their devices and temporarily cool down at the following locations:

BLUE TARP DISTRIBUTION

  • The Army Corp of Engineers is providing blue tarps for Orleans Parish residents that sustained roof damage due to Hurricane Ida.

FIRST AID STATION

Services will be limited and include oxygen exchange, minimal prescribing ability, medical device charging, and other basic health assessments. No medications will be available on site. The first aid station is operating 24/7 at the following location: 

  • Central City Senior Center, 2101 Philip St.
